In a past life, I was a writer. Not a writer as in a tweeter, or blogger, or texter, but a journalist. I wrote for school and local newspapers and would lose myself in the research, the click-clack of the keyboard, and the deadlines. Then I grew up, life got in the way, and all of a sudden I went from “writer” to “product manager,” from a wordsmith to a tech guy.
Like any good tech guy with a penchant for the written word, I would eventually find my way to the blogosphere. Most recently, I was able to combine my passion for writing with my interest in productivity and entrepreneurship in the form of Quatro and the Quatro blog, but with that project on hold for the time being, I decided to spin up the Sanctuary as an outlet for other thoughts that creep up. Best case scenario, someone, somewhere, will stumble upon this blog and learn something or find inspiration. Worst case scenario, I’ll get to keep exercising my writing muscles and my mom will have something to read while she gets her nails done. And at least now I have something useful to do with jonsaft.com.
